Project Background
Newspace Containers, based in Lydney in Gloucestershire, specialises in the manufacture of portable offices, accommodation units and storage containers throughout the UK. They are recognised as a leading supplier with over 30 years experience within the industry, offering exceptional value to its customers first time and every time. All the containers are offered with spray foam insulated interiors, with performance levels, including U-values, to meet and exceed the requirements, depending on usage. Continued growth has necessitated in developing more work-space to house the manufacturing processes.
The Solution
Because of the expected work-load, Newspace decided to invest in their own spray foam equipment; this was simplified by on-site training provided by the manufacturer and the ECON Building Products team, who are supplying BASF ELASTOSPRAY® and BASF WALLTITE® spray foam insulation chemicals.
A trial was held over two days prior to the confirmation of the purchase, which proved not only to be extremely informative, but confirmed to Newspace that they had made the correct decision in their choice of partners.
The Result
The ease of use and quality and accuracy of the interior finishes that Newspace is able to achieve on their units is a testament to both the set-up of the equipment and the high quality BASF chemicals supplied by ECON Building Products, followed up with on-site support and training.
Newspace could not be happier with this big step forward in providing a more energy-efficient unit, by improving the units EPC value, and a robust barrier against condensation, that they believe should become the norm for future containerised units.
