NewSpace Modular Units

NewSpace is a leading manufacturer of secure static, modular, and anti-vandal accommodation units. That is because no job is too big, or small, for the expanding business based at their multi-acre site in Lydney, Gloucestershire. Strategically located close to water and road, Lydney is where the design and production process takes place. This includes everything from the initial ‘SolidWorks’ designs, assembly, and paint finishing. You can take a tour of their land site here and their website here.

The NewSpace sales department, together with their creative designers and adept manufacturing team, helps to turn clients’ accommodation ideas into a reality.

Exact Requirements with NewSpace

NewSpace clients can choose how to build the unit or units by:

  • Selecting the unit’s size from standard sizes to bespoke builds up to 14.5 m long, 4 m wide, and 3.5 m high
  • Deciding if the unit is made from mild steel or Corten steel
  • Choosing if they require a roof made from a different material entirely, including Zintec galvanised steel
  • Dictating the flooring, walls, heating, lighting, electrics, paint, and many other features

This high degree of specification means every unit is configured to meet the exact requirements of each client.

Insulation Values at NewSpace

To limit the risk of condensation NewSpace offers Elastospray closed-cell spray foam insulation for all their container builds. The foam is available as an option in the roof void and cavity slab as it reduces condensation and improves insulation values. Elastopray applied to other surfaces meets additional building regulation requirements and improves comfort. Many site storage units have the roof and sides sprayed in PU Foam. This helps to eliminate condensation and reduce noise.

NewSpace Invested

Foam is integral to the build of all of NewSpace’s temporary habitable solutions. That’s why NewSpace invested in its own spray foam equipment. With state-of-the-art spray foam equipment, they then received the necessary on-site training, to ensure safe and compliant application of open-cell spray foam insulation. Now, NewSpace can effectively deliver the superior, interior finishes their clients are seeking. And with no HFC gases produced during the spraying process, it’s eco-friendly too!

Comprehensive NewSpace Range

There is little they can’t design and build in their market sector. Their aim is to build a comprehensive range of quality temporary, modular, and portable buildings.

NewSpace and The Bus Shelter Dorset

NewSpace recently worked on a project for The Bus Shelter Dorset charity. Allocated £188k from the UK government’s Next Steps to Accommodation Programme (NSAP), the charity, which offers rough sleepers somewhere safe to stay and find support, identified NewSpace‘s modular units as an ideal solution for their particular accommodation challenge. In total, NewSpace created 12 bedroom pods, an office, an education room. In addition, a 40×20 Modular communal room, providing catering facilities, a dining area, and a lounge, was created. Emily McCarron, the charity’s figurehead, was thrilled to take receipt of the builds from NewSpace‘s Operations Manager, Nigel Allen, and Regional Sales Manager, David Wilson.  The shelter accommodation is now situated on the overspill of the Weymouth Park & Ride.

NewSpace Future Landscape

Using the best products and imaginative designs, NewSpace is spearheading the modular movement with its energy, enthusiasm, and expertise. The focused NewSpace team is helping to overcome accommodation and site challenges and in the process is helping shape our future landscape.
